Coming home for the Ram reunion wasn’t in my plans this weekend. But when my paint party got cancelled at the last minute, my best friend Marissa said it was a sign that I should come down to Americus with her. I worked full-time in HR, did paint parties as my side hustle/hobby and was working on my master’s in human resources. Since I had nothing waiting for me at home except a pint of sea salt caramel Talenti and the new season of Designated Survivor on Netflix, I agreed.
Friday afternoon, Marissa and I were headed down 75 South, jamming to Jazmine Sullivan. We went to school together all our lives, but we didn’t get close until we were both in Ms. Andrews homeroom in 6th grade. This friendship has been through thick and thin for almost 30 years.
After high school, I went to college in Valdosta and Rissa went in Atlanta. For years I was looking for something in my field with no luck. Everyone wanted someone with HR experience, but no one wanted to hire me to give me the experience. It was the stupidest catch 22 ever. I decided to finally take Rissa’s advice and apply in Atlanta. I started getting phone calls and loved the time I got to spend in Atlanta with Rissa after interviews. Finally, I got the call I was waiting on and made the move. To be reunited with my BFF made the decision easy. We were close in middle and high school, but this friendship as an adult included alcohol, shopping and vacations.
Once I moved, I was so grateful for her because she helped me navigate Atlanta traffic, find great places to eat and gave me the rundown on the best places to live. Living in the city was so much different than where I grew up. Even though Atlanta was where I lived, Americus would always be home. The last six months I had heaped a lot on my plate, mostly because I was trying to heal from my divorce, and I hadn’t made time to come home as often as I should. That’s why I didn’t hesitate to come home for the Ram reunion.
The Ram reunion was the brainchild of Katrina Fuller. After our school system combined the city and county schools, Sumter County Comprehensive High School pretty much disappeared off the map. Trina had the great idea to have a reunion for all of the Rams that graduated from SCCHS before the merger. I hadn’t had the opportunity to go before but saw pictures on social media. It looked like everyone had a great time and I was ready to be in the mix this year. I was excited to see people I hadn’t seen in years and more importantly, to relax.
Once we made it to Americus, we went to Marissa’s sister’s house. We decided to stay with Tasha because she lived right off Highway 30 which was close to where this weekend’s activities would be. Since my parents lived in DeSoto and Rissa’s folks were in Smithville, driving to and from town would be an issue if we stayed out too late. Tasha was four years older than Rissa and me and we used to try to hang out with her. Now that we are older, she had no issues with it, but she couldn’t stand it when we were 14. We dropped off our bags, changed and then went to visit our respective parents for a little while before heading to the first night of the reunion.
15 minutes after getting to the fairgrounds, I was so glad I came. I remembered coming to the fair when I was in middle school and it made me feel so old. Tonight, I was seeing people I hadn’t seen since graduation night and it was good to see them in real life and not just on social media. In high school, I was a social butterfly and very active in different activities from cheerleading to track to FBLA to chorus. If it was possible, I was more social now. I made rounds to other classes’ tents, tasted their food and laughed at random high school memories. Me and some of the old cheerleaders even tried to remember some of our old cheers and died laughing at how much we messed them up.
When I made it to the class of '96 tent, I had to do a double take at the guy perched on the edge of a table drinking a beer. I knew that couldn’t be who I thought it was. Looking like a snack, nah, scratch that, a whole entire meal, was Justin Hendricks.
Back in high school he was the class clown. But he was also skinny as a twig. And short. And hell bent on doing everything except graduating high school. The guy I remember from high school was long gone and was replaced with an incredibly sexy chunk of chocolate.
“Well if it isn’t Makayla Bailey! Haven’t seen you in years!” he greeted me with a hug. The scent of his Polo Blue lingered after he let me go. His hands on me and his dimpled smile reminded me that it had been awhile since I made time to date since my divorce last year. I immersed myself in my work, my business and getting my degree… men and sex were the last things on my mind lately. Justin was reminding me of how long it had been. And in this moment, I missed sex. Bad.
“Stimpy!” I smiled hoping to mask the inappropriate thoughts that entered my mind. He rolled his eyes at me referring to him by the nickname some of us called him. I really had no idea why we called him that, but he always answered.
“Why you gotta call me that?” he laughed. “You made me feel like we were back in Mrs. Carter’s keyboarding class.”
I laughed at the memory. That was the one and only class I ever took with Justin. He sat by me and tried to get me to help him, but he did nothing but play all day. Mrs. Carter put him out constantly for cracking jokes and getting the whole class off task.
“I mean, you always answered to it,” I shrugged.
“Yeah, but I think I’ve outgrown that name,” he winked.
I laughed and nodded in agreement. There was nothing ‘stimpy’ about this man now.
I laughed and joked with some of the class of 96 folks before heading back to the 98 tent. Justin followed me and I didn’t mind his company at all.
I saw how Rissa was looking at me when we walked up but I ignored her. It took a second for her to realize who I was with. “I know that ain’t Stimpy!”
“In the flesh!” he beamed.
“Damn you got fine!” Marissa had absolutely no filter whatsoever. None. Whatever came to her mind came out of her mouth.
I laughed but Justin looked defeated. “Are you insinuating I wasn’t fine back in the day?”
“Dude, you probably weighed 100 pounds soaking wet. And you were short as hell!”
I doubled over in laughter because, well, it was true. There was no way he was on social media because I would have found him and undoubtedly saw how fine he’d gotten. There was no use on dwelling on who he used to be when he was sexy as hell now. I knew it, Marissa knew it and I was pretty sure he knew it, too.
“Man, what are you doing over here at this lame ass ’98 tent?” Marcus Peterson announced throwing his arm around Justin. Back in high school, Justin and Marcus were best friends. It looked like they still had that tight bond like me and Rissa.
“Lame? You know ’98 was the absolute best class to come out of SCCHS!” Marissa shot back.
“Whatever Rissa,” Marcus scoffed. “We kicked ya’ll ass every pep rally and won the spirit stick!”
“Who cares! That was like 20 years ago!” I chimed in.
“Marissa, you remember when you fell going to lunch that day? That shit is still hilarious!” Marcus asked with a smirk.
I burst out laughing but Marissa popped my arm and I had to try to stifle my laugh. “You didn’t have to bring that up!”
When we were sophomores, Marcus and Justin were seniors. Marissa had a huge crush on Desmond, another guy from the class of '96 that hung out with them. One day, she tried to put a little pep in her step walking into the lunchroom. She missed a step and her and her lunch went tumbling down the few stairs that lead down to the cafeteria. She laughed about it, but she could never live it down. Someone even put it in the yearbook so we could remember it forever.
We spent the next few hours laughing and talking about our high school days… the football and basketball games with our city rival Americus High, going to Burger King to hang out after home games, riding the activity bus after practice and games, the fights, the teachers we remembered, prom...it was great to remember all the fun times we had in high school. After a few hours, everyone was packing up and getting ready for the next day. Justin and Marcus didn’t help their class clean up; they stayed over there with us. Once we finished, they guys walked us to my car.
“Am I going to see you tomorrow?” Justin asked, catching me by surprise.
“Yep. I’m going to do some of the face painting for the kids,” I announced. When I told Marissa I was coming, she immediately volunteered my services to Trina for the family day tomorrow. I didn’t mind at all and I was looking forward to it.
“Ok cool. Are ya’ll coming to the party tomorrow night?”
Maybe I was crazy, but the sound of his voice sounded like he wanted to see me. That couldn’t be true, right? “Yep. We’ll be there!”
“Cool. Ya’ll have a good night and I’ll see you tomorrow.” Justin and Marcus waited until we got in my car before they walked off.
“Soooo,” Marissa began. “I know you think I didn’t hear Stimpy ask if you were coming tomorrow.”
“Whatever,” I said. “He was just making conversation. Like you and Marcus.”
Rissa smirked at me. “Nah. That was nothing like me and Marcus. We were talking about his wife and two kids. And Desmond. We weren’t talking about seeing each other tomorrow.”
I was so into Justin that I didn’t even hear their conversation. “Shut up. I’m sure he’s married with a few kids stashed all over the world.”
“I’m sure you’ll find out tomorrow since he’s looking forward to seeing you.”
I had no intention on asking him about his marital status or if he had kids because I wasn’t here for any of that. “Whatever. We are just talking. Nothing more, nothing less.”
“It wouldn’t hurt if you got some. And dude is all that now. I wouldn’t be mad if you bust it down for him.”
“There will be no busting it down of any kind. I have too much going on for that!”
“It’s been over a year,” Rissa groaned. “Someone needs to knock the cobwebs off that thang!”
“I can’t deal with you!” I screamed at her crass mouth. Even though she could have cleaned it up a little, I know what she meant. Getting divorced from Corey was one of the most draining experiences of my life. I initially began my side hustle and getting my degree as a way to keep busy and not think about how my marriage went from sugar to shit but now, I had gotten used to being on the go so I didn’t make time to date. Rissa felt like I should just find a cut buddy, but I was too old for a friends with benefits situation.
Rissa and I stayed up late talking and planning on when we could go to Chevron and Carter’s before going back to Atlanta. Even though Atlanta had so many diverse restaurants, few things could compare to a chicken box from Chevron or a thigh sandwich all the way and lemonade from Carter’s. While we plotted, I think I did a great job of concealing the fact that I was looking forward to tomorrow so I could see Justin again.
The next day, we got up early to eat breakfast before heading to the fairgrounds. Today, the event was kid friendly with jumping castles, sack races and face painting. I was so surprised to see so many of my classmates and people I went to school with as parents. Even though I was married for almost five years, I never wanted kids. That was part of the reason for our divorce. Corey knew I didn’t want kids, but he figured that once we got married, I would change my mind. He couldn’t understand that I enjoyed my ability to come and go as I pleased without having to find childcare. I didn’t knock motherhood but that wasn’t my desire. I was damn near 40. Plus, I couldn’t have a baby when some of my classmates were grandparents.
I had just finished painting a basketball and football for my classmate’s son when I saw Justin walking up with a little girl in his arms. She couldn’t be more than five or six and I shouldn’t be surprised he had a kid. As fine as he was now, I imagined he had a few.
“Good morning,” he smiled at me as he sat the little girl down in my chair.
“Good morning to both of you,” I smiled politely. “Your daughter is adorable.”
Justin chuckled a little. He had on a light blue t-shirt that showed of his muscular arms and a pair of basketball shorts and if it was possible, he looked even better today than he did yesterday. “Thanks, but she’s not my kid. She’s my niece. This is my sister’s daughter.”
“Your sister? Crystal had a baby?” I asked shocked. I remembered Crystal in high school; she was a year younger than me. We took two classes together and she was smart as a whip, studious and quiet; the complete opposite of her brother. I think she was valedictorian for the class of '99.
“Yep, this is uncle’s sweet Avery.”
“Wow. I haven’t seen Crystal in years. What is she up to?”
“Taking care of this busy body,” he told me as Avery tried to escape my chair. “She’s out here somewhere but I’m on uncle duty. She’s married and an assistant principal at a high school in Savannah.” He picked Avery up and sat down in the chair with her on his lap.
“Well hello pretty girl! What do you want me to paint on your face?”
“I want a star. And a kitty. And a balloon. And ice cream. And…”
“Your face is only so big Avery. Pick two,” Justin told her.
“Ummmm I want a star and ice cream,” Avery finally decided.
“Coming right up!”
I spent the next few minutes painting an ice cream cone on her left cheek and a star on her right. It took a little time because she didn’t want to be still. After some coaxing by her uncle and a promise to get actual ice cream, she let me finish.
“You turn Uncle Justin!” she announced once I gave her a mirror to admire my work.
We both laughed and Justin shook his head. “This is just for kids.”
“Can we go get my ice cream now?” she asked.
“Of course! Let’s go!” Justin smiled at me. It looked like he wanted to say something else, but he had to grab Avery’s hand before she took off. I watched them walking off, noticing the muscles in Justin’s back and I only had a brief second to imagine what he looked like shirtless before another kid wanted their face painted. I spent the rest of the afternoon painting faces and looking for Justin, only catching glimpses of him here and there. When the afternoon started to wind down, I found Marissa and we got ready to head back to Tasha’s house to rest and get ready for tonight.
We stopped at Chevron and I couldn’t wait to dive into my chicken box. It was like I was 16 all over again. It was amazing how something like food could take me back to a simpler time in my life, when my only concern was my microwave ponytail, going to cheerleading practice and writing notes. At the house, I took out my outfit for tonight, but I wasn’t satisfied with the jeans and orange crop top that showed just a sliver of my belly. I needed something else.
“Hey Rissa, I’m going to run to Belk and It’s Fashion. I don’t want to wear what I brought,” I announced.
“Chile, Stimpy ain’t never seen you in that outfit!”
I rolled my eyes at her. “This ain’t got nothing to do with him!”
She shot me a look that said ‘yeah right’ but I continued to try to plead my case. She wasn’t hearing me though. “You don’t have to explain yourself to me. Let’s go find you an outfit!”
I tried to throw my keys at her, but I missed. I went to go pick them up and hit her in the process.
“OWWWW!” she hollered. “Why are you hitting me?”
“Cause you’re making it seem like I’m trying to impress Justin. And I’m not!”
“Ok. We’ll go with that. Even though there is a perfectly good outfit laid out on the bed. Let’s go spend unnecessary money.”
I tried to hit her again but missed. We made the quick drive to Perlis Plaza and I didn’t see anything in Belk but found a super cute dress in It’s Fashion. The yellow halter dress looked great against my caramel skin. It also didn’t hurt that it fit my hips and curves like a glove. The shoes I brought were black, so we went to Shoe Show to find some cute brown or gold wedges. I could hardly believe this was the same place Marissa used to work at back in the day. Years ago, it was Shoe City. Now, Shoe Show took up the whole building but back then, a nail salon and Domino’s Pizza used to be part of this plaza.
Satisfied with my new outfit, we went to get ready for the party. At a quarter to 6, I was ready to go but waiting on Marissa. She had a lot of virtues but being on time was not one of them. If she included an -ish in the time she said she would be ready, she was heavy on the -ish part. I learned to start getting ready at the time we were supposed to leave.
My makeup was subtle but really complimented my outfit. The earth tones of my eyeshadow accented my brown eyes. A nude lip gloss was my lippie of choice. I borrowed wooden earrings and bracelets from Tasha and was taking pictures of myself when Marissa was finally ready to go. She had on white jeans with a huge hole that highlighted her thigh tattoo and a low cut, black and white tank top that showed just enough cleavage. Her bold red lip completed her beat face. Tasha hyped us up by taking a gazillion pictures of us and as much as I was having fun with this mini photo shoot, I was ready to go to the party.
By the time we finally made it to the fairgrounds again, the party was in full swing. Marissa and I found a seat, but I mingled with classmates. I tried to tell myself I was just being my social self but honestly, I was looking for Justin. I finally saw him when he walked in and I had to act like I wasn’t looking for him. Just seeing him in his black dress pants and purple Polo shirt did something to me. How did he look sexier every time I saw him?
As if he felt me staring, he made his way to where I was.
“Wow!” he exclaimed. “You look beautiful!”
I was damn near 40 so I had no business blushing at his comment, but I did. And I knew I made the right decision buying this dress.
“Thank you!” I beamed. “You don’t look so bad yourself.”
We made small talk for a quick second before the familiar beat of the Bus Stop blasted over the speakers. Just like it did years ago, the Bus Stop got everyone on the dance floor. Leaving Justin where he was, I joined the other dancers that seemed to be waiting on their cue to get up out of their seats. I tried to pretend that I didn’t notice Justin watching me dance but I did. So of course, I had to put a little extra-ness in my moves. However, I was quickly reminded I wasn’t a spring chicken anymore and had to sit down.
As I rested my feet, Justin was by my side with a bottle of water. “Looks like you still got it!”
“Boy please. I am tired!” I laughed accepting his bottle of water. “And still got what?”
“Them moves you used to have back when you were a cheerleader,” he smirked. “I remember when you used to be hot with that little skirt on.”
I almost choked on my water. “I was not hot! And how do you remember that?”
Justin cut his eyes at me. “Come on now, you know every guy wanted you back then.”
I gave him a side eye because I honestly didn’t know what he was talking about. The only guy I wanted back then was Nate. I was crazy about Nate Carson and I was blind to anyone else. Looking back, I had no idea why I was so crazy for that boy. But you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t in love with him and I wasn’t going to be Mrs. Carson someday. Thank God for growth. And sense. If other dudes wanted me, I didn’t know it. There was no way Justin noticed me back then. Not like that anyway.
“So you’re just gonna act like I ain’t have a crush on you?”
I was bewildered at his admission. “When? How?”
“Why you think I used to sit by you in Mrs. Carter’s class?”
“Cause…you…needed…help…with…typing?” I said slowly.
He busted out laughing. “Well, I guess that was part of it. I really wish I took that class more serious; it would have saved me some trouble in the long run.”
I laughed but I was still confused about this crush he used to have on me. I didn’t have time to dwell on it because the DJ played ‘This is how we do it’ by Montell Jordan and Justin drug me to the dance floor. I had every intention of sitting down after that song, but the DJ was playing all the jams from back in the day. At some point, we even started a soul train line. It seemed like it was the 90’s all over again and I was at Cannon ball or a jock jam. But it was my feet that reminded me yet again that I was damn near 40.
I was about to go sit down because my feet were screaming at me when the DJ slowed it down with ‘This little game’ by Subway and 702. Justin didn’t even ask if I wanted to dance, he just pulled me into him. He wrapped his hands around my waist, and I draped my arms around his neck. Initially, we just rocked like we were at the middle school prom. But when I felt him getting hard, I couldn’t help myself.
I kept one hand around his neck and leaned back, rolling my hips to the rhythm of my old jam. Justin’s eyes left my face and concentrated on the movement of my hips. I wasn’t sure if it was his admission that he had a crush on me, if he was incredibly sexy over twenty years later, or if it had been awhile since I’d had a man-made orgasm, but whatever it was, my body was moving like a woman that was in need. By the time the song ended, my eyes were filled with lust. When I looked at Justin, his eyes read the same.
He pulled me close to him so he could whisper in my ear. “You wanna get out of here?”
I probably should have thought about it longer, but I nodded yes quickly. We were walking towards the exit when I remembered Marissa. I hadn’t even slept with him yet and he’s got me all discombobulated. “Wait. I drove and Rissa rode with me.”
“Just give her your keys and ride with me.” His speedy solution was that of a man that knew what he wanted. And right now, what he wanted was me.
“Ok. Give me a second.” I scanned the crowd looking for Marissa and finally spotted her. I walked up to her and gave her my keys. “I need you to drive my car.”
“Ummm ok. Just let me know when you’re ready,” she replied, confused.
“I’m leaving now. Just drive my car home.” I tried to walk off before she could question me, but I knew better than that. She grabbed my arm just as I turned.
“Uh uh. No ma’am,” she began. “Leaving with who?”
I smiled sheepishly and she looked past me towards the door. “I’ll call you later tonight to come get me. Don’t go to sleep.”
“Well, looka there! Now ain’t you glad I made you come? Seeing old classmates and getting some dick. I’d say that’s a pretty awesome weekend!”
“Girl!” I laughed. “Who said I was getting any?”
Even when the words came out of my mouth, I knew it was a dumb question. If anyone saw us dancing, they would assume sex was the next logical step.
“I did. Now go have fun!”
I wasn’t going to waste any more time going back and forth with her; I had a man waiting on me.
I met Justin at the door, and we made our way to his car. On the short drive over to the Hampton out by Ruby Tuesday, I found out Justin retired from the Army, lived in Macon, worked as a probation officer and was also divorced.
“So, no kids?” I asked.
“Nah, she couldn’t have kids,” he answered.
“Is that why you got divorced?”
“Not really. We just wanted different things in life. Just didn’t work out.” I didn’t really detect sadness in his voice, but he didn’t sound too thrilled either. “What about you? No kids? No husband?”
“No and no. Got divorced last year. Not really the same situation as you but I didn’t want kids and he did. Just made for a really difficult marriage.”
“Wow, I bet,” he offered. “But I’m sure you have someone or a few someone’s to occupy your time.”
I laughed at his slick way of asking if I was cheating on a boyfriend. “I’m just as single as the day is long. I don’t really make time for dating between work, school and my business.”
“What’s your business?”
“I do paint parties. Graduations, birthdays, promotions at work, girls’ weekends, mother-daughter, cousins, best friends, just because…women love any reason to get together, drink some wine and paint.”
Justin laughed. “Paint parties? Sounds interesting.”
“It is.” It was my turn to test the waters. “I’ll have to let you know when I’m having one. So you can bring your girlfriend.”
“I like how you slid that in there,” he laughed. “But I don’t have a girl. Just chilling. For now.”
His addendum of ‘for now’ seemed odd and I chose to focus on the blur of the road rather than what he said. We pulled up to the hotel and for the first time tonight, I had some apprehension. Flirting with him, dancing with him and talking to him was one thing, busting it down was something else. I didn’t come home this weekend looking for a man. Or sex.
“Hey, if you’re having second thoughts, let me know. I can take you home,” he said reading my mind.
I was about to tell him yes, take me home. Until I looked in his eyes. The lust I saw earlier was still there, but it wasn’t as strong. Now, I saw something else. I felt like he really just wanted my company.
“No, I’m good. I want to be here.”
He turned off the ignition and unlocked the doors. We stepped out the car and made our way to his room on the first floor. Once the door was closed behind us, I started to get a little nervous again. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to be with him or sleep with him but rather, it had been a long time. I hadn’t slept with anyone new since I met, married and divorced Corey. He was the last new man I slept with and that was about 8 years ago.
I didn’t get a chance to try to have a pep talk with myself because Justin moved in to kiss me. It started off as a soft kiss, the kind of kiss I used to have on the 500 wing in school right before I went to cheerleading practice and Nate went to football practice.
Justin broke our kiss long enough to whisper, “you have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that.”
I was stunned at his admission but there was no use in dwelling on what he wanted to do 20 years ago when he was here doing it now. He moved back in to kiss me again, this time, this kiss wasn’t high school kids trying to be grown. This kiss was a grown ass man that undoubtedly had some experience under his belt. The way his tongue moved in my mouth was a telltale sign of that.
Justin started backing me up towards his bed, never taking his mouth off mine. When the back of my legs hit the bed, Justin pushed me down gently, finally breaking our kiss. I moaned out of frustration that he stopped.
He smiled at me before getting on his knees and sliding my dress up. My breath was caught in my throat as I anticipated what he was getting ready to do.
Justin kissed me through my panties, and I think I stopped breathing. But then I was getting frustrated. I needed the real thing, not this teasing. “Please,” I begged. I started trying to pull my panties to the side so he could get to the place I needed him to be.
“Don’t rush me,” he said while moving my hands out of the way. He went back to kissing and licking me through the flimsy fabric of my G-string until I was on the edge of losing my mind. When he finally moved my panties to the side and I felt his tongue on my clit, I almost passed out. I closed my eyes and leaned back. His tongue felt so damn good.
“Sit up and look at me,” he commanded. Back in high school, Justin wasn’t a wimp or a pushover. He was just the short, funny guy in keyboarding class. Grown man Justin was a take charge kind of guy and I didn’t even have to think twice about doing what he said.
I kept my eyes on Justin as he licked and sucked my clit with an expertise I didn’t realize I needed until now. His command to watch him only heightened my arousal and I knew my orgasm would be taking me out at any minute.
I tried to hold back and stifle my moans. I didn’t know if someone was staying next door to him. Apparently, he could tell from my breathing, or the way I was moving my hips that I was close, so he went even harder. Justin captured my clit in his mouth and sucked while pushing two fingers inside of me. I tried my best to keep my eyes on him, but I had no control over my body.
“Oh shit! I’m gonna cum!”
My eyes rolled to the back of my head and my body got weak. I hadn’t come like this in a long time and my body really didn’t know to act. I moaned as Justin continued to make my body jerk with his tongue and his fingers. No matter how much I begged him, he wouldn’t stop until I came two more times. When he finally got up, I collapsed on the bed trying to catch my breath.
Through half closed eyes, I saw him go to his bag and pull out a condom. He took off his shirt and I took in his beautiful chocolate body. His skin tone, his chiseled abs, and his many, many tattoos were a feast for my eyes. He didn’t have to tell me to keep my eyes on him as I watched him strip out of his pants and then his boxers. I felt him while we were dancing but seeing it was an entirely different thing. There was such an intense throbbing between my legs, I could hardly wait until he was inside me. He rolled the condom on and walked back to the bed.
“Come here,” he said.
Obediently, I scooted to the edge of the bed and he leaned down to kiss me. “I liked you in this dress, but I need you take this shit off.”
I wasn’t the type to just do what someone told me. That used to get me in trouble when I was younger. Even my ex-husband had to fight with me to get me to do things sometimes. So, I really couldn’t understand why I did what he said with no hesitation. I pulled my dress up over my head and threw it on the floor. Then, I reached behind me and unhooked my bra. Justin nodded his head in appreciation of my naked body on his bed. I laid down and once again, and Justin pulled me to him.
He lined himself with my opening and I held my breath in anticipation of him being inside of me. He smirked and instead of pushing into me, he rubbed himself on my clit. I kept pushing my hips up trying to get him inside me but he continued to tease me.
“Please Justin,” I moaned. “Please!”
“Hmmm…I love to hear you say my name,” he replied. Apparently, that was all it took for him to give me what I needed.
“Oh my God,” I whispered.
Justin gave me every inch of him. I grabbed the covers as he moved inside of me, giving me everything I’d been missing.
“Justin, oh God, Justin don’t stop!” I met Justin’s thrusts, trying to usher in my orgasm. His hands went to my breasts, rubbing my nipples between his thumb and pointer finger.
“That’s right baby, cum for me,” Justin growled. The way he moved deep inside me, his words, and his hands were the magic combination to make me cum. I had the covers in a death grip as my body reacted from this release. “Damn you feel so good.”
Justin pulled out of me abruptly. “Turn that ass over.”
Again, I had no issues with doing what he said. I rolled over and got on my knees. Justin rubbed my ass before slapping it. Not hard enough to hurt, but hard enough for the sound to echo in the room. I thought he was going to tease me again, but he wasn’t in the mood for teasing anymore. Once he entered me again, we both exhaled, me at the fullness of him and Justin because of my wetness. The wetness he created. Justin’s movements were nice and slow as if he was trying to savor the moment, but I wasn’t in the mood to be the subject of Usher’s song. I started throwing my ass back on him to let him know what I wanted.
I wasn’t the submissive type, but I could tell that Justin was a take charge kind of guy, He grabbed my hips and pushed himself to the hilt. I was thrown off but just for a second. Justin pounded me hard, fast and deep…a pleasurable pain that had me moaning his name over and over.
“I need you to cum for me again, I need to feel that shit Kayla,” Justin commanded.
In this moment, there was nothing I wanted more than to cum on his dick. Justin continued to talk to me, coaxing my orgasm out of me. I could feel myself losing control of my body. “Ooooooooooooohhhhhh my...shit…I’m going to cum! Shit! Justinnnnnnnn!”
My legs got weak and I fell forward, but Justin wasn’t finished with me. He didn’t give me time to recover before he turned me over and plunged back into me. My hands raked down his back as he showed no mercy on me. He stopped, but only momentarily to wrestle my hands from scratching him too badly. He held my arms down as he plowed into me, not caring how loud I was. Truth be told, I didn’t care either. If anyone heard me, I wouldn’t be ashamed to admit this man was worth my hiatus from sex.
“Shit, Kayla…I’m bout to cum!” Justin exclaimed.
I didn’t think it was possible for him to get deeper, but he did. It felt like he was in my stomach, but the delicious throbbing of his dick was so satisfying, I didn’t mind the pain.
Justin rolled off me and we both tried to catch our breath. “God damn girl. That was amazing!”
I had no energy to reply. From the dancing I did tonight, and the orgasms Justin gave me, I was through. I didn’t even remember falling asleep until Justin woke me up. “Good morning sleepy head.”
“Good…morning?” I asked. I was momentarily disoriented until I saw his chocolate body in gym shorts and a wife beater. Then the night came back to me. I crossed my legs under the covers as I remembered what he did to me last night. My stomach did that weird flop thing and I could feel my nipples hardening just thinking about the way Justin commanded my body.
“What time is it?”
“It’s about 9:30. I took advantage of this continental breakfast. I didn’t know what you liked so I got some of everything.”
I sat up in the bed and smiled, the slight draft reminded me I was naked. Quickly, I grabbed the comforter to cover me. Even though he took me down through there last night, this morning, I didn’t want him to see me naked. Justin laughed before digging in his bag to give me one of his shirts. I threw it on before getting out of the bed to eat the breakfast he got for me. I took a huge swallow of the orange juice and picked up a piece of bacon.
“Thank you. So what time are you leaving out today?” I asked.
“I’m not leaving today. I’ll be here until Tuesday. Gonna spend a few days with my folks, help them around the house,” he answered.
I tried to look everywhere but at him, unsure of what was supposed to happen now. I liked the time we spent together but I wasn’t going to impose on him. “Well, if you can give me about 15 minutes, I’ll be out of your way.”
He grinned and stood by me. “You are not in my way. I actually like that you’re here.”
I wanted to revel in his comment, but I didn’t allow myself to read too much into it. I was sure he was just being nice. “You don’t have to pretend for me. I’ll call Rissa to come get me in a few,” I countered. I know what he said but…last night was just sex, right?
He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out at first. He stared at me for a second. Last night, his eyes held lust. Today they were…soft and kind. I tried to shake my head to rid the thoughts out of my head. Last night was fun but I wasn’t going to put myself out there and expect anything other than what last night was…two adults taking advantage of a moment. Nothing more, nothing less.
“Well, I got you a toothbrush from the front desk.”
I was sure that wasn’t what he wanted to say but I wasn’t going to dwell on it. I gathered my clothes and went in the bathroom. I took a quick shower, hating that I had to use hotel soap and lotion. I needed my Dove soap and So Peachy body oil but that would have to wait until I got to Tasha’s house. I got out the shower and put on my dress and bra, opting not to put on my panties. I just finished brushing my teeth when Justin knocked on the door.
I opened it and without saying a word, he kissed me. I felt like putty in his hands. Like last night, what started off as a soft kiss soon became frantic. Justin turned me around and lifted my dress up. He reached into the pocket of his gym shorts and pulled out a condom. The entire time he was putting it on, he was staring at me in the mirror.
Justin pushed my back down a little and entered me. I didn’t think his sex could get better than it did last night but it seemed he wanted to prove me wrong. As Justin pounded away like he belonged in me, we looked at each other in the mirror. This mirror just added to the arousal I felt for Justin and I could feel my juices running down my leg.
Justin and I moved together; my moans were amplified because we were in the bathroom. He held onto my hips as he drove in deep.
“Don’t stop! Justin please don’t…”
I didn’t even get to finish my pleading before I came. My body was not accustomed to this, but I swear I could get used to it. Not just having sex again but having sex with Justin. As my orgasm subsided, Justin announced he was cumming. Feeling him throb inside me was becoming one of my favorite things.
Justin pulled out of me and we continued to stare at each other in the mirror. I had no idea what Justin really wanted from me but I decided that if he wanted me, he would be worth the drive to Macon.
“If you don’t have to leave anytime soon, I’d like to take you to lunch.”
I wasn’t prepared for him to want to spend more time with me. I tried not to read too much into it because...well, I just didn't need to. I decided to just enjoy the time and not try to decipher his intentions. “That’s cool. Just let me go to Tasha’s so I can get changed.”
Justin let me get cleaned up again before we left. At Tasha’s house, he talked to Tasha and her husband until I was ready to go to lunch. Before we left, Rissa came into the living room.
“Well look what the cat drug in. I waited for your ass to call but I see you were occupied,” she quipped.
“Yeah, she was in good hands,” Justin said undeterred.
“Oh, I can tell,” Rissa shot back. “No more cobwebs, huh?”
I cut my eyes at her, my face burning with embarrassment. She laughed and I was grateful no one knew what she was talking about. “We’re going to lunch. I’ll be back in a little bit.”
Marissa snickered. “Out all night and then lunch the next day? Damn, Justin. You must have some bomb ass-“
“And we’re leaving!” I announced cutting her off. I pulled Justin out the door. He laughed all the way to the car.
“That girl is still a trip, I see.”
“You have no idea.”
We made the drive over to Gladys Kitchen and we just beat the black folks church crowd. Justin and I spent the afternoon together eating and riding around Americus talking and noting how much our city has changed since we were in high school. We even rode out to Bumphead Road to see our old high school which now housed the middle school. It was crazy. After we saw all we could, we went back to his room and where he took me down through there again. It sounded weird to say but he was what I needed right now. In the back of my mind, I hoped this wouldn’t be the last time I saw him.
After getting my heart rate back to normal, I was finally able to speak. “You know, I almost didn’t come to the reunion. I’m glad I did.”
“I’m glad you did, too. Remind me to send Trina some flowers or something for putting this together. She’s the real MVP for giving me some new new from the old school.”
